Should You Buy a New Mazda or Lease It? 3 Things to Consider

Now you've chosen your new Mazda, an important question is do you want to buy or lease a car? This is a question that has no right or wrong answer. Both choices are good, it just depends on which of the two options is the best for you. As your Mazda dealer, we'd like to give you more information on some things to consider when making your choice. Advice From Your Mazda Dealer: Buy or Lease a Car? 3 Things To Consider Do You Drive a Lot? When you buy a car, you have no fixed limits on your mileage. Some drivers like to keep their mileage low to increase the value of their car when they trade it in. Other drivers regularly drive long distances for work or leisure activities. The only thing to consider is that high mileage can cause wear and tear, which reduces service intervals. If you lease a car, you have a fixed mileage for the lease period. This mileage allowance is determined by dividing the number of months in the lease period by 12 and then multiplying the result by 15,000 to get a total mileage. If you choose a low mileage lease, you multiply the result by 12,000 rather than 15,000. more Is Ownership Important? When you buy a car, you receive the car title and own it for as long as you want to. You can sell your car at any time. You can choose to gift it, donate it, or trade it in towards the cost of a new car. You can also use it as collateral for a loan. When leasing a car, you retain the car for the length of the lease contract. This term can vary from two to five years, depending on the agreement. When the contract nears its end, you can extend the contract, choose a newer model Mazda, or buy your previously leased car. Is Customization Important? When you buy a new Mazda, you can choose all its features from the ground up. Your dealership or the online ordering tool will assist you to choose everything from color to wheel type to the interior comfort features. Your only limit is how much you want to spend. When you lease a car, your choices are more limited. You'll get the model you want, but you might not get every feature as the car has already been built. The cheaper cost of lease payments compared to loan repayments does mean you can choose a higher trim level than you might otherwise be able to buy. As you can see, there are benefits to both choices. Visit us today at Tom Bush Mazda, and we'll give you all the information to make the right decision.

What to do if your Mazda

What to Do If Your Mazda Gets Scratched or Dented

If your beloved Mazda has been scratched or dented, don't despair. Car scratches and dents are common while driving, but this doesn't mean you should ignore them. If left unfixed, car dents and scratches can ruin your Mazda's visual appeal and lower its value. Your trusted Mazda dealer can fix the damage and restore your car to its former glory. Why You Should Worry About Car Dents and Scratches Ignoring dents and scratches on your Mazda can lead to serious problems down the line. Deep dents caused by the impact of debris and minor accidents can compromise the structural integrity of the car, making it less safe in a collision. Fixing these dents on time preserves the car's structural integrity and safety. Deep scratches expose the underlying metal body to the elements. Over time, exposure to moisture can cause rust and corrosion on the Mazda's body. You will be forced to incur more money to restore the car's body. What's more, unattended dents can significantly lower your vehicle's resale value. more When to Visit a Mazda Dealer for Repairs Visit your local dealer immediately if your Mazda gets scratched or dented. We will take the following steps to restore the car to its original state: Assess the Extent of Damage We will inspect the damage to determine how severe it is. This will help us choose the best repair technique to restore the car. Minor dents can be fixed using simple tools like a dent puller or car dent plunger. However, if the car has deep dents and scratches, it will require a fresh paint job. Make Arrangements With Your Insurance If the damage to the body is covered by your car insurance, you can charge the repair costs to your policy. After assessing the damage, we will help you file a claim with your insurance. Fix the Damage Using Professional Techniques Our experts use professional techniques to fix the dents and scratches on your Mazda. For dents that haven't ruined the paint, we may use paintless dent repair, which is a fast and cost-effective restoration method. If the paint has been severely damaged, we will smooth out the affected areas and apply a fresh coat of paint. If you have been in a minor collision, we will check your car's body first to make sure it is structurally sound before painting it. Why You Should Avoid DIY Fixes for Car Scratches Fixing your car using a store-bought kit may seem affordable, but we advise against it. If your car has deep scratches, DIY kits won't help much. You might also end up causing further damage to the paint job, which will cost you a lot of money to fix. Trust the experts to conduct high-quality and durable repairs on your vehicle. Deep dents and scratches can ruin your car's paint and cost you a lot of money in repairs. Get the damage fixed immediately to preserve your Mazda's appearance. Performance This impressive car is available in six different trim levels. The first five trims of the Mazda are all powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation. If you're looking for more power under the hood, you'll want to check out the top-of-the-range Turbo Premium Plus trim. This model is equipped with a 2.5L dynamic pressure turbo engine that delivers an impressive 250 horsepower when using 93 octane fuel. Additionally, the Mazda features convenient amenities such as push-button start, speed-sensitive auto door locks, and remote keyless entry. The steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise control switches also add to the convenience of the Mazda. These controls allow you to adjust the audio volume and track selection, as well as set and adjust cruise control settings without taking your hands off the wheel. 3. Safety Safety is always a top priority when choosing a vehicle, and this Mazda delivers a range of advanced safety features. To begin with, the sedan is equipped with a robust airbag system, including knee and side-impact airbags, to help protect you and your passengers in the event of a collision. The 3-point safety belts provide additional protection and security for all occupants. The Mazda also comes equipped with an anti-lock brake system and dynamic stability control to help you maintain control and stability of the vehicle while driving in challenging conditions. Another safety feature is the tire pressure monitoring system, which alerts you when your Mazda's tire pressure is low. That's enough performance to get the car hustling from 0 to 60 in under six seconds. Everything made here is fresh, and they're especially known for their fast to-go service. It's busy here, so be aware. There's so much to recommend here that we're not quite sure where to start, but some of our favorite meals are the Callaloo and Saltfish, the curried goat, and the jerk snapper. Is Your Mazda Having

Is Your Mazda Having Electrical Problems?

Modern Mazda vehicles have all kinds of advanced electrical components designed to enhance your driving experience. And the engine itself requires a steady flow of voltage to keep the spark plugs sparking. But electronics can occasionally glitch and falter. If you experience any of the following electrical problems, visit your nearest Mazda dealership to have it repaired. Is Your Mazda Having Electrical Problems? Starter Trouble Perhaps the most important electrical component of your vehicle is the starter. The starter needs a ready power supply from the battery or your car won't start. If you ever find you can't start your engine in the morning, then either the starter itself isn't working or your battery is dead. A drained battery might resolve itself when you jump-start your car. But if the battery problems persist, then you might need to replace it. Either that or the alternator isn't doing its job in recharging the battery while the engine's running. more Engine Misfiring Your ignition coils serve the impressive function of turning a small voltage of power from the battery into a staggering 40,000 volts, which is delivered to the spark plugs in hundreds of pulses every second. These pulses of electricity ignite the fuel-air mixture inside the combustion chambers, powering your car. Any failure of electrical voltage to the ignition coils, or fault with a coil itself, will cause the spark plugs to start misfiring. Your engine will sputter and struggle to generate power. Your acceleration will drop, and you might even stall when you slow down. A faulty ignition coil can be cleaned, repaired, or refurbished, but it's often more cost-effective to buy a new one. Failing Accessories The various electrical accessories throughout your vehicle can sometimes run into trouble. This includes the headlights, dashboard, stereo, power windows, power seating, onboard computer, relays, sensors, and more. If one component stops working, you can safely assume there's a problem with that particular part or its wiring. But when multiple electrical accessories fail at once, you probably have a bigger underlying problem. In the case of a failing electrical supply, most Mazda vehicles will cleverly prioritize which accessories are starved of power first. The parts that keep you safe, such as the headlights, will be the last to stop working. Faulty Wiring There are dozens of yards of wiring throughout your vehicle. If any connections or stretches of wiring come loose, something or other will stop functioning. If not caught in time by the fuse box, electrical surges can sometimes melt the plastic insulation around the wiring. In this case, you'll often smell the plastic burning at about the same time that the affected accessory stops working. How Your Mazda Dealer Diagnoses Electrical Faults Technicians have tools that can interface with your onboard computers and narrow down the source of an electrical problem. Unlike mechanical problems, which are typically quick to diagnose and then take a longer time to fix, electrical issues often take a few hours to pin down and then can be quickly repaired. Visit Tom Bush Mazda today to have your electronics examined and repaired by experienced professionals. We've been helping the area's local drivers since 1974.
